Agora to Open Third Restaurant Location in Bethesda, Maryland

Agora Restaurant Group has announced the opening of its third restaurant, Agora Bethesda, scheduled for Spring 2026. The new location will be situated at One Bethesda Metro Center, beneath the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. This expansion follows the group's existing operations in Washington, D.C., and Tysons, Virginia.

Agora Bethesda will feature a menu inspired by the culinary traditions of Turkey, Greece, and Lebanon, led by Executive Chef Ismet Sahin. The restaurant will offer a mezze-style menu with dishes such as flame-grilled kebabs and house-made desserts, alongside vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The focus will be on using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

Urbane Architects, a Washington, D.C.-based firm, will design the new restaurant. Urbane Architects has previously worked with Agora on its Tysons location and the Dupont Circle renovation. The firm is known for its use of natural materials and architectural cohesion.

Agora Bethesda aims to serve the local community with weekday lunches, celebratory dinners, and weekend brunches. The restaurant will continue Agora's approach of offering authentic Mediterranean cuisine.

The new location is part of Agora's strategy to expand its presence in the region, building on the success of its other locations. The Bethesda restaurant will join the existing Agora restaurants in offering a menu rooted in Mediterranean culinary traditions.
