    Madison, WI-based MILIO'S SANDWICHES (founded 1989) has increased by 1 unit, from 46 to 47 (2% growth).  These quick serve sandwich shops are open for lunch and dinner, with a $2-$6 per person price range.  Units have limited seating.  Catering, delivery, and online ordering are available.  Between 20% and 30% of the stores are franchised.  Trading areas are IA, MN, NE, and WI.

    LIBBY HILL SEAFOOD RESTAURANT headquartered in Greensboro, NC (founded 1953) has increased by 1 unit, from 8 to 9 (13% growth).  These are family/casual seafood restaurants with seating for around 200.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $10-$30.  Banquets are offered.  Locations are in NC and VA.

    STARBUCKS COFFEE CO
     based in Seattle, WA (founded 1971, Nasdaq: SBUX) has increased by 31 units, from 16,706 to 16,737 (1% growth).  Locations are quick serve with seating for around 20.  Locations are through partnerships and license agreements and are in AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV and WY.

    Vancouver, BC-based SPECTRA GROUP (founded 1989) has increased by 1 unit for the Red Door Pan Asian Grill concept, from 1 to 2 (100% concept growth).  The company also operates Fresh Grill (1), Kingston Taphouse & Grill (1), and 1 Romano's Macaroni Grill unit.  Overall company growth is from 4 to 5 (25% growth).  The restaurants are mostly upscale, with a $15-$50+, full bar and seating for about 250.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner, serving a variety of cuisines.  Catering and banquet services are available.  All units are in BC.

    THE SALAD BOWL based in Coppell, TX has increased by 2 units, from 5 to 7 (40% growth).  These are fast casual restaurants with seating for around 40.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $3-$8.  Locations are franchised and are in CO, NM and TX.  There are plans to open new units in Fort Worth, TX and Dallas, TX during 2010.

    Irving, TX-based CHEDDAR'S CASUAL CAFÉ (founded 1978) has increased by 2 units, from 81 to 83 (2% growth).  These are family/casual restaurants, open for lunch and dinner, serving American cuisine.  Per person check average is $8-$20.  Locations have a full bar and seating for about 200.  Catering is available.  Locations are franchised and trade in AL, AR, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MO, MS, NC, OH, OK, TN, TX, VA, and WV.  We featured this concept on 2/3/09 (4% growth), 6/9/09 (7% growth) and on 4/6/10 (5% growth).  

    Indianapolis, IN-based STEAK N SHAKE (NYSE: SNS; founded 1934) has increased by 21 units for the Steak N Shake concept, from 485 to 506 (4% concept growth).  The company also operates Great American Steak & Buffet (5), Quincy's (3), Western Sizzlin (85), and Wood Grill Buffet (5).  Overall company growth is from 583 to 604 (4% growth).  Steak N Shake is a quick serve burger concept, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $2-$6 per person check average.  The other concepts are steakhouse buffets, with a $10-$30 per person price range, serving a full bar.  Steak N Shakes seat about 70, the buffets about 200.  Company trading areas are AL, AR, CA, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MO, MS, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI, and WV.  We last featured this company on 5/26/09 (1% growth).

    Dallas, TX-based RED MANGO (founded 2002) has increased by 11 units, from 59 to 70 (19% growth) and entered into AR, FL, MO, NE, and VA.  This is a quick serve frozen yogurt concept, open for lunch and dinner hours.  Per person price range is $3-$8.  Limited seating is available.  Stores are franchised and trade in AR, AZ, CA, FL, IL, IN, MA, MN, MO, NE, NJ, NV, NY, OH, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WI.  We last featured this concept on 9/8/09 (20% growth) and on 2/9/10 (7% growth).  The company also ranked #8 on our April 2009 Top Ten Fastest Growing Concepts List.  

    Dallas, TX-based GENGHIS GRILL (founded 1998) has increased by 6 units, from 43 to 49 (14% growth) and entered into FL.  These are fast casual Asian restaurants, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $8-$20.  Locations have a full bar and seating for about 125.  Online ordering is available.  The restaurants are franchised and trade in the states of AR, AZ, CO, FL, IA, IL, KS, MN, MO, NM, NV, OK, TN, and TX.  We wrote about this concept on 10/20/09 (24% growth) and on 3/23/10 (5% growth).
