Metro Diner recently inaugurated its new restaurant in Brandon. Located at 1901 W. Lumsden Road in Brandon Center South, the 3,600-square-foot, 110-seater diner in the Tampa market is the seventh Metro Diner. Forrest Ferpes, who has been associated with the restaurant brand for over ten years, will manage the new location.
The new diner will serve Metro Diner's popular American comfort food classics. Customers can enjoy breakfast and lunch throughout the day, with dinner service to be added soon. The menu features items like Scramble Bowls, Charleston Shrimp & Grits, Iron City Meatloaf, and the renowned Fried Chicken & Waffles served with a signature sweet-and-spicy sauce. Ferpes recommends the Steak and Scramble Bowl, a combination of seasoned sirloin steak, scrambled eggs, and roasted grape tomatoes served over hash brown potatoes, topped with a drizzle of Hollandaise sauce.
Ferpes, who started his restaurant career young, mentioned that hospitality runs in his family. He joined Metro Diner in Gainesville, FL, more than a decade ago, and his wife, Courtney, also works with the brand as a Managing Partner at the Bradenton location. Ferpes revealed that he was attracted to Metro Diner's welcoming atmosphere and people-focused culture, and opening his own had been his ultimate goal.
Brandon's new Metro Diner location is open daily for breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Once dinner service is introduced, the operating hours will extend until 8 p.m. For more information, customers can call 813-295-8450.
