Set to become Africa's premier investment conference, preparations are currently underway to host the 3rd edition of the Hospitality Investment Conference Africa (HICA) from 4 to 6 November 2009.
The conference, scheduled to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, is all about sharing knowledge, according to Mmatsatsi Marobe, CEO of the Tourism Business Council of South Africa, conveners of the conference. 'We will be learning from world trends, industry insights and experiences. One of our aims is to align the development of tourism in the region with international best practice. We are all excited about the 2010 World Cup, but as an industry we need to be looking beyond big events. We need to be showcasing Africa as a viable investment destination', she said.
