Outback Steakhouse is debuting its newest restaurant in Melbourne, Florida opening its doors at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 20. To show its support of the local community, a portion of the restaurant's opening day sales will benefit The Haven for Children, which provides therapeutic shelter care in a homelike environment for children who have been removed from their homes because of neglect, abuse or abandonment. The new restaurant will be the first in the area to feature a new "Modern Australia" design both inside and out.
"We're thrilled to be the newest neighbor in Melbourne and to set roots in this community," said Ed Backiel, Local Proprietor, Outback Steakhouse. "We've expanded our Outback family to include nearly 135 local residents at this new location."
To mark the official grand opening, the Melbourne Outback restaurant is inviting local area residents to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Melbourne Regional Chamber of East Central Florida at 5 p.m. on Monday, July 20.
The new restaurant will feature a "Modern Australia" design with decor that mirrors the indigenous flora and fauna, adventure, geography and leisure of modern day Australia. Guests will also enjoy a spacious, energetic bar area that includes a community table – a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy specialty beer, wine and hand-crafted cocktails. The new bar will also feature customized seating and furnishings and is connected directly to the outdoor dining patio.
In addition to Outback's signature bold steak dinner entrees, the restaurant recently introduced new core menu innovations, including the new Wood-Fire Grilled Flat Iron Steak and Premium Sides, such as Steakhouse Mac & Cheese, Loaded Mash and Parmesan Fries. Plus, for a limited time, guests can enjoy the new Victoria's Filet®Mignon Portabella and the Outback Special® Sirloin Portabella starting at just $13.99. The Melbourne Outback also features a wide variety of fast and affordable lunch combos available everyday, starting at just $6.99, such as the Aussie Steak Tacos or the new ½ Ribeye Melt.
The newest Outback restaurant is located in the Melbourne Square Mall at 1600 W. New Haven Avenue and is open from 11 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday, 11 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. Friday - Saturday and 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Sunday.
