Marketing/Communications Expert Joins Luna Grill

Luna Grill, the San Diego-based Mediterranean restaurant chain, recently announced that Jan Bennett has joined their leadership team as Vice-President of Marketing.

Luna Grill, the San Diego-based Mediterranean restaurant chain, recently announced that Jan Bennett has joined their leadership team as Vice-President of Marketing.

For over 25 years, Ms. Bennett operated her own marketing agency in San Diego, where she specialized in branding across traditional media and most recently, digital platforms. Her wide-range of clients included everything from local ‘mom and pops’ to national chains, across a variety of retail and service industries.

Sean Pourteymour, Luna Grill’s CEO, commented, “Jan is a strategic addition to our organization. The skill set she brings is exactly what we need to achieve our expansion plans moving forward.”

Ms. Bennett graduated from Weber State College, Ogden, Utah with a double major in Broadcast/Communications and English. She moved to San Diego County in 1989 and currently resides in Encinitas, CA with her 2 children and 2 dogs.

Luna Grill has 17 locations open in Southern California and Texas. Four additional stores are under design and construction, and scheduled to open by late summer. Depending on real estate transactions, the company expects to have a total of 40 stores open and operational by the end of 2016.

The Luna Grill story is unique. It was born from a mother’s need (Maria Pourteymour, Sean’s wife and Co-Founder/Chief Cuisine Officer) to provide a healthy alternative when her family ate out.
