Luby's, Inc. has reopened a former Fuddruckers franchise location in Lake Jackson, Texas under company ownership. The 6,400-square-foot fast casual restaurant, which has been closed since March 2014, welcomed customers today with substantial design, decor and systems enhancements that align it with the company's newest venues.

The reveal of the site at 206 Highway 332 W. near the intersection of Nolan Ryan Expressway (Highway 288) also signaled the return of elements that differentiate this Fuddruckers from typical locations. The 220-seat space features a private party room, a game room and a sports-oriented media area with five, oversized monitors. A terrace provides outdoor seating for 12.

According to Peter Tropoli, Chief Operating Officer of Luby's, Inc., "We are thrilled to be back in Lake Jackson with a product that now represents the best of the Fuddruckers brand in terms of food, ambience and service. We look forward to welcoming back regulars and introducing new customers to the World's Greatest Hamburgers."

A showcase for Fuddruckers' dynamic, new interior scheme, the restaurant pays homage to the chain's signature, roadhouse look, while catering to today's more sophisticated tastes. The kitchen was also opened to create an exhibition environment. The resulting ambience is ideal for a family outing, business lunch or a date night.

Since its founding in 1980, Fuddruckers has been obsessed with making the world happier, one great hamburger at a time. Grilled-to-order burgers feature always fresh and never frozen, 100% USDA premium-cut beef with no fillers or additives. Delicious, sesame-topped buns are baked from scratch on-site throughout the day to achieve the perfect combination of crisp crust and melt-in-your-mouth texture.

And while burgers are the signature, the engaging menu offers variety for many tastes with an array of sandwiches, platters and salads. No matter what they choose, customers can customize their meal with a trip to the legendary Build Your Own produce bar, which features fantastic fixings like sun-ripened tomatoes, lettuce, sliced onions, dill pickles and classic cheese sauce.

Luby's, Inc. (NYSE: LUB) operates restaurants under the brands Luby's Cafeteria, Fuddruckers and Cheeseburger in Paradise and provides food service management through its Luby's Culinary Services division. The company-operated restaurants include 95 Luby's Cafeterias, 70 Fuddruckers restaurants, eight Cheeseburger in Paradise full service restaurants and bars and one Bob Luby's Seafood Grill. Its 95 Luby's Cafeterias are located primarily in Texas. In addition to the 70 company-operated Fuddruckers locations, Luby's is the franchisor for 111 Fuddruckers franchise locations across the United States (including Puerto Rico), Canada, Mexico, Italy and the Dominican Republic. Luby's Culinary Services provides food service management to 26 sites consisting of healthcare, higher education and corporate dining locations.
