Giardino Gourmet Salads announced that it has experienced nine consecutive quarters of positive comparable sales after posting an eight percent increase throughout the first quarter of 2014.

"Giardino Gourmet Salads' nine consecutive quarters of positive same-store sales increases is a true testament to the strength of our growing brand," said Kenny Lugo, founder and director of franchise development at Giardino Gourmet Salads. "Our success is directly related to consumers' increasing desire to live a healthier lifestyle and our franchisees continually delivering a superior customer experience."

Last month, Giardino announced the addition of two new franchised South Florida locations in Miami Lakes and Weston, which are scheduled to open later this year.  Giardino plans to develop several new locations across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties and throughout the state of Florida over the next several years. New franchisees interested in owning a Giardino Gourmet Salads should possess a passion for the brand and be dedicated to serving the community. While restaurant experience is not required, ideal candidates should have an entrepreneurial spirit and sales, marketing, restaurant and/or retail experience. Approximate turnkey total development costs range from $165,000 - $264,000.

Since innovation has always been a key component to Giardino's success, the company recently introduced grain bowls to their menu of signature salads, garden wraps, soups, boccata sandwiches and a wide assortment of croutons baked fresh daily in each restaurant. Grain Bowls combine warm quinoa, brown rice or jasmine rice with a wide variety of premium toppings and dressings. In addition to The Gardener, La Fiesta and Wok Grain Bowls, guests can also enjoy a My Way Bowl that can be customized using any premium toppings or any signature salad combinations on the menu. The grain bowl combinations may also be ordered in a wrap and a scoop of grains can be added to any salad as a topping.

Giardino Gourmet Salads is the premiere fast casual salad concept in South Florida. Founded in 2004, the gardener chefs at Giardino serve the widest variety of individually handcrafted, great-tasting salads and menu offerings using premium ingredients like freshly baked croutons and homemade deli salads. Over the last two years, Giardino was named to Fast Casual's Top 100 Movers & Shakers, which includes the top restaurant chains, people, trends and technologies shaping the fast casual segment. Giardino currently has eight South Florida restaurants open in the neighborhoods of Blue Lagoon, Brickell, Coral Gables, Doral, Downtown Miami, Kendall, Miramar, and South Miami
