Food and Alcohol Safety Classes, a division of the Integrated Food Service Consulting Corporation, is now offering classes in 13 states after a recent 10 state expansion. Food and Alcohol Safety Classes originally offered classes only in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The recent expansion brings their food and alcohol safety training and certification classes to ten new states including Florida, Michigan, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Virginia.

The classes feature mandated National Restaurant Association Educational Foundations ServSafe Training and Certification programs like the Florida ServSafe certification or the Virginia Food Protection certification. These programs include Food Protection Manager certification, the ServSafe Food Handler Program, ServSafe Fundamentals of Responsible Alcohol service, HACCP Certification, and Allergen Food Safety Certification. Food and Alcohol Safety Classes offer their classes in three languages: English, Spanish and Chinese with plans to add additional languages soon. Michael Pozit, President and CEO of Integrated Food Service Consulting Corp, is very pleased with this initial growth spurt and predicts that by the end of the year Food and Alcohol Safety Classes will be in over forty states with over a hundred class locations. He added that he is in discussions to add courses and certification from the National Food Registry, Prometric, TIPS and other recognized training and certification entities.

The classes and certifications are designed to educate on the latest FDA Food Code, the latest food safety research and provide food sanitation training. The classes show staff how to implement essential food safety practices and create a culture of food safety within any restaurant. The contents and materials within the classes are based on real job tasks identified by food service industry experts. ServSafe Fundamentals of Responsible Alcohol Service aims to prepare bartenders, all front-of-house staff, valets, and bouncers to effectively and safely handle difficult situations involving alcohol. Alcohol service involves many risks and the program aims to teach staff how to act responsibly and avoid confrontations that could result in loss of liquor licenses, increased insurance costs, or even criminal charges.

Food and Alcohol Safety Classes is a division of the Integrated Food Service Consulting Corporation which focuses on providing quality classes for foodservice professionals. Food and Alcohol Safety Classes are an industry's leader in bringing individuals and companies in need of training and certification together with the nation's leading certified ServSafe trainers and instructors.
