Smashburger announced today that it will open its first Manhattan restaurant tomorrow, Thursday, April 10, and begin serving guests at 10:00 AM. The new restaurant is conveniently located in Midtown next to the Empire State Building at 10 W. 33rd St., between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

To celebrate the grand opening, Smashburger is inviting all NYC burger lovers to the new Manhattan location on Thursday, April 10 to enjoy one FREE Classic Smashburger per guest between the hours of 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
“We are thrilled to debut Smashburger in Manhattan and bring our menu of premium smashed to order burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, signature sides and handspun Haagen-Dazs ® shakes to this culinary capital,” commented Scott Crane, President and Chief Executive Officer of Smashburger. “Our goal is to put great tasting burgers back into people’s lives, by serving fresh, all natural Certified Angus Beef smashed to order and topped with the freshest produce, a variety of real cheeses and a selection of buns. The first Smashburger in Manhattan is owned by franchise group Smash Partners – Richard Greenstein, Eric and Ronnie Portnoy and Howard Novick – who also operate locations in Westchester County. Mr. Rich Greenstein added: “We are extremely excited about the opening of our first Manhattan restaurant and look forward to greeting guests with a free burger on opening day. We have been overwhelmed by the reception of Smashburger at our Westchester locations and are confident that our fresh, modern approach to burgers will be a terrific fit for the City.”
Smashburger has 260 restaurant locations across the globe and is more than just burgers. Guests can also enjoy a selection of tender marinated grilled and crispy chicken sandwiches and fresh-prepared and tossed signature salads, along with a variety of irresistible sides including rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries, Haystack Onions, and Veggie Frites (flash-fried and seasoned carrot sticks and green beans). The restaurant will also serve a selection of beverages ranging from handspun Häagen-Dazs shakes to a variety of certified organic freshly brewed and bottled HONEST® Tea beverages and local craft beer.
The 2,500 square-foot Manhattan Smashburger is designed with the concept’s newest contemporary features from soft lighting and an open kitchen, to earthy materials like local reclaimed brick, in addition to bright colors and localized art which captures the spirit of New York City landmarks. Smashburger’s Manhattan restaurant will be the tenth location to open in the state of New York. Regular restaurant hours will be 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM daily.
