Nickolas will join 13 board members to advance the organization and achieve the goals set forth in its strategic plan. She will also work to spread the word about the organization and help engage other prospective members. She will assume responsibilities at RFMA’s February board meeting this weekend.
“It is Ann’s passion, leadership and strong connection with fellow members that brought her to the attention of the nominating committee, and resulted in her being elected as the 2014 Vendor Representative to the Board of Directors,” said Tracy Tomson, executive director of RFMA. “We look forward to working more closely with her this year and know she will have a lasting impact on our organization for years to come.”
As Senior Director of Foodservice at Cintas, Nickolas brings more than 28 years of industry experience to the position and will work to further RFMA’s mission of advancing industry awareness of restaurant facility management while promoting professional and ethical standards to serve the customer with added value.
Ann was recognized at the RFMA awards in 2013 with the “Retention Rock Star Award” for her contributions to the Membership Committee. She requires everyone on her team participate in a RFMA committee to better understand some of the challenges faced by restaurant facility managers. She also leads a Cintas team in the participation of RFMA Gives, an annual charity project where RFMA members build a commercial kitchen for a non-profit.
“RFMA is a fantastic organization that plays an integral role in ensuring that our nation’s restaurants promote clean and healthy environments,” said Nickolas. “I am honored to work on the behalf of the other vendor members that provide the education and tools necessary to help make this happen.”
Formed in 2004, the Restaurant Facility Management Association’s (RFMA) mission is to advance industry awareness of restaurant facility management, while promoting professional and ethical standards to serve the customer with added value.
