Built just behind the Oriental Pearl Radio and TV Tower, one of China's most iconic modern structures, the new La Tagliatella features a breathtaking location along the Huangpu River. The physical address of the restaurant is 2650 Binjiang Avenue XO1-Building 1, Pudong New Area, Shanghai.
In addition to its traditional Italian name, the restaurant is also branded for the Chinese market as Chun Yi Tang – Pure Italian Heaven.
"This might be the most beautiful restaurant I have ever built. I could envision a certain secret agent sitting on our 5,000 square foot terrace watching cruise ships as they arrive and enjoying our authentic Northern Italian cuisine," said Greg Walther , chief executive officer of AmRest HK Limited. "With the combination of our premium imported ingredients, Old World recipes, and stunning views, I'm certain this will be one of the premier locations for La Tagliatella."
The newest La Tagliatella replicates much of what has already made the other Shanghai location a success. For example, authentic, stylized decor, with ornate woodwork and painting is featured prominently. However, to take advantage of its unique location this restaurant has been built with floor to ceiling glass on three sides. The real star is the outside terrace, which enables patrons an almost other worldly view of the river and busy harbor.
"This is an absolutely beautiful setting but patrons wouldn't come back unless we also offered the same outstanding food as our other location," added Walther. "Featuring recipes from the Italian regions of Liguria, Piamonte, and Reggio Emilia, La Tagliatella offers high quality cuisine at casual dining prices. Along with a large selection of wines, 'mocktails', smoothies and other mixed drinks, this is truly a first-class dining experience."
AmRest HK also announced its third La Tagliatella location in China. This restaurant, which is under construction and scheduled to open in June, is located at 1F07&2F05 Eco City, 1788 Nanjing Road West, Jing An District, Shanghai.
La Tagliatella, founded in 1991, is the fastest growing European casual dining brand. The high quality cuisine is created from the best Italian base ingredients, such as Parmigiano Reggiano DOP that is cured in caves for 24 months, and authentic mozzarella di bufala prepared from the traditional recipe. The extensive menu features more than 400 combinations of pasta and sauces, pizzas made in traditional Italian ovens, risottos, salads, hand crafted desserts and more.
AmRest HK Limited is a joint venture between AmRest Holding SE (WSE: EAT), an international fast-food and casual dining restaurant operator with nearly 700 restaurants in Europe, Asia, and the United States, and Stubb's Asia Limited, a partnership led by Walther.
