    Playa Vista, CA-based CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN (founded 1985) has increased by 11 units, from 266 to 277 (4% growth) and entered into DC and IN.  This is a family/casual Italian and pizza concept, open for lunch and dinner hours.  Per person check average is $8-$20, with full bar service.  Seating is for about 250.  Catering and online ordering services are available.  Trading areas are AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, and 12 other countries worldwide.  International franchise opportunities are available.

    BARRO'S PIZZA headquartered in Carefree, AZ (founded 1980) has increased by 1 unit, from 31 to 32 (3% growth).  These are quick serve restaurants with seating for around 50.  Beer and wine are served. ! Per person check average is around $4-$10.  All locations are in AZ.

    TACOS DEL JULIO based in Pasadena, TX (founded 1993) has increased by 1 unit, from 6 to 7 (17% growth).  These are family/casual Mexican restaurants with seating for around 200.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Beer is served.  Per person check average is around $3-$8.  Catering and banquet services are offered.  Locations are in TX.

    New York, NY-based DALLAS BBQ (founded 1959) has increased by 1 unit for the Tony’s Di Napoli concept, from 1 to 2 (100% concept growth).  The company also operates the 9-unit Dallas BBQ concept.  Overall company increase was from 10 to 11 (10% company growth).  The Dallas BBQ is family/casual, open for lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20 per person check average.  Tony’s Di Napoli is upscale Italian cuisine, with a $15-30+ per person check average.  Both concepts have full bar and seating for around 200.  Catering, banquet, delivery, and online ordering services are all available.  The restaurants are in NY.

    NORTHSTAR RESTAURANTS INC headquartered in Overland Park, KS (founded 1990) has increased by 1 unit for their Jose Pepper’s concept from 10 to 11 (10% concept growth).  These are family/casual Mexican restaurants with full bar and seating for around 200.  Meal periods a! re lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $8-$20.  There is a second company concept called Cactus Grill (1 unit).  Overall company increase is from 11 to 12 (9% company growth).  Locations are in KS and MO.

    Louisville, KY-based SENOR IGUANA'S (founded 2007) has increased by 1 unit, from 3 to 4 (33% growth).  This family/casual Mexican concept is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20 per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar and seating for about 200.  Catering and private party services are available.  Locations trade in IN and KY.

    REEF of Houston, TX has increased by 1 unit, from 2 to 3 (50% growth) adding a new concept called El Real Tex Mex.  Other company concepts are Little Bigs (1) and Reef (1).  These are upscale and family/casual restaurants with seating for around 200.  Beer and wine are served.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Catering and banquet services are offered.  All locations are in TX.

    NATURE'S TABLE CAFÉ headquartered in Orlando, FL (founded 1977) has increased by 3 units, from 72 to 75 (4% growth). ! ; These are fast casual restaurants with seating for around 40.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $3-$8.  Catering is available.  Locations are more than 80% franchised and are in CA, CO, FL, GA, KS, OK, SC, TN, TX, VA and WA.

    Washington-based WESTSIDE PIZZA (founded 1996) has increased by 3 units, from 19 to 22 (16% growth) and entered into CA.  These quick serve pizzerias are open for lunch and dinner, with a $3-$8 per person price range.  Units seat about 20.  Catering, online ordering and delivery are available.  Trading areas are CA and WA.  Franchise opportunities are available.  

    San Antonio, TX-based FOOD MANAGEMENT PARTNERS(founded 2005) has increased by 2 units for the Zio’s Italian concept, from 19 to 21 (11% growth).  The company is also a franchisee of Buffalo Wild Wings (38), Mama Fu’s (1), and Smashburgers (5).  Zio’s is a family/casual concept, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $10-$30, with full bar and seating for about 200.  Catering is available.  Trading areas are CO, KS, MO, NM, OK, and TX.

    RISING ROLL SANDWICH CO based in Atlanta, GA (founded 1996) has increased by 3 units, from 12 to 15 (25% growth).  These are fast casual restaurants with seating for around 40.  Meal periods are breakfast and lunch.  Per person check average is around $4-$10.  Catering and delivery services are available.  Locations are more than 90% franchised and are in GA and TX.

    Minneapolis, MN-based BUFFALO WILD WINGS(NASDAQ:BWLD; founded 1982) has increased by 64 units, from 837 to 904 (8% growth) and entered into AB and WY.  This is a family/casual concept, specializing in chicken entrees.  Per person check average is $8-$20, with a full bar and seating for about 200.  Catering service is available.  Locations are franchised and trade in AB, AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, ON, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, and WY.  Around 60% of units are franchised.  We last wrote about this company on 9/13/11 (4% growth) and on 4/10/12 (8% growth).

    Dallas, TX-based DICKEY'S BARBECUE PIT (founded 1941) has increased by 69 units, from 240 to 309 (29% growth) and entered into MT and WV.  This is a fast casual bbq concept, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $6-$12 and seating is for around 150.  Full bar is available at select locations.  Most units serve beer and wine only.  Catering and online ordering options are available.  Units are franchised and trade in AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV, and WY.  We last featured this concept on 11/29/11 (35% growth) and on 4/24/12 (7% growth).
