Edina, MN-based PARASOLE RESTAURANT HOLDINGS (founded 1979) has increased by 1 unit for the Burger Jones concept, from 1 to 2 (100% concept growth) and by 1 unit for the Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse, from 1 to 2 (100% concept growth).  Other concepts include Chino Latino (1), Good Earth (2), Living Room (1), Manny's Steakhouse (1), Mozza Mia (1), Muffuletta (1), Prohibition (1), Salut Bar Americain (2), and Uptown Cafeteria (1).  Overall company increase was from 14 to 15 (7% growth) due to the closure of the Il Gatto concept.  These are upscale restaurant concepts, open for lunch and dinner, with a $15-$50+ per person check average.  The restaurants serve multiple cuisine types.  There is full bar service and average seating for 300.  Catering and banquet facilities are available.  All locations are in MN.

Chicago, IL-based GIBSONS RESTAURANT GROUP has increased by 1 unit for the Hugos Frog Bar concept, from 2 to 3 (50% concept growth).  Other concepts include Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse (3), Luxbar (1), and Quartino Ristorante (1).  Overall company increase was from 7 to 8 (14% growth).  These restaurants are upscale steakhouses, open for lunch and dinner, with a $15-$50+ per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar and seating for about 300.  Banquet facilities are available.  All locations are in IL.

Scottsdale, AZ-based PARADISE BAKERY & CAFÉ (founded 1976) has increased by 5 units, from 62 to 67 (8% growth).  This fast casual concept is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $4-$10 per person price range.  Units have seating for 60 and offer catering and delivery services.  Units are franchised and trade in AZ, CO, IN, MA, NE, NM, TX, and UT.

OLGA'S KITCHEN based in Troy, MI (founded 1970) has increased by 1 unit, from 35 to 36 (3% growth).  These are fast casual sandwich restaurants with seating for around 60.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $3-$8.  Catering and banquet service are offered.  Locations are in IL and MI.

FOX'S PIZZA DEN headquartered in Murraysville, PA (founded 1971) has increased by 3 units, from 277 to 280 (1% growth).  These are mostly take-out/delivery restaurants with limited seati! ng.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $2-$6.  Locations are more than 90% franchised and are in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IN, LA, MA, MD, MI, MO, MS, NC, NM, NY, OH, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI and WV.

BRAUM'S of Oklahoma City, OK (founded 1968) has increased by 8 units, from 281 to 289 (3% growth).  These are quick serve restaurants with seating for around 30.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $3-$8.  Locations are in AR, KS, MO, OK and TX.

New York, NY-based BLUE RIBBON RESTAURANTS (founded 1992) has increased by 1 unit for the Blue Ribbon Sushi concept, from 2 to 3 (50% concept growth) and added a new concept called Above 6.  Other company concepts include Blue Ribbon Bakery (1), Blue Ribbon Bakery Market (1), Blue Ribbon Brasserie (2), Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill (2), Brooklyn Bowl (1), and Downing St Wine Bar (1).  Overall company increase was from 10 to 12 (20% growth).  These restaurants are mostly upscale, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner hours.  Per person check average is $15-$50, serving full bar.  Seating is for about 100.  Banquet facilities are available.  Locations are in NV and NY.

Auburn, AL-based MOMMA GOLDBERG'S DELI (founded 1976) has increased by 7 units, from 16 to 23 (44% growth) and entered into FL and LA.  This fast casual sandwich shop is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $4-$10 per person price range.  Units have seating for about 50 and offer catering services.  Stores are franchised and trade in AL, FL, GA, and LA.

EL FENIX RESTAURANT of Dallas, TX (founded 1918) has increased by 3 units, from 19 to 22 (16% growth).  These are family/casual Mexican restaurants with full bar and seating for around 200.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $8-$20.  Catering and banquet services are offered.  All locations are in TX.

RIC'S GRILL of Kelowna, BC (founded 1998) has increased by 2 units for The Mix from 1 to 3 (200% concept growth) and by 1 unit for Ric’s Grill, from 17 to 18 (6% growth).&! nbsp; Overall company growth is from 18 to 21 (17% growth).  These are upscale steak and seafood restaurants with full bar and seating for around 100.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $15-$50.  Catering and banquet services are offered.  Locations are in AB and BC.

Dallas, TX-based CORNER BAKERY CAFÉ (founded 1991) has increased by 13 units, from 135 to 148 (10% growth).  This fast casual concept is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $4-$10 per person price range.  Units seat about 80 and offer catering and delivery services.  Trading areas are AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, MD, MS, NJ, NY, PA, TX, UT, and VA.  We wrote about this concept on 6/1/11 (2% growth), 10/18/11 (7% growth) and on 3/20/12 (6% growth).
