The New Cinnamon Apple Turnover by Applebee's(R) Targets the Sweet Tooth

Applebee's Cinnamon Apple Turnover features fresh, crisp cinnamon-spiced apple slices in a buttery caramel sauce, all tucked into a hand-folded savory, sweet crust and finished with a drizzle of honey cream cheese sauce, then served warm with a side of vanilla ice cream for a true Americana experience.

"We are continually improving Applebee's menu with new items," says Chef Shannon Johnson, executive director at Applebee's. "And that includes looking at our entire menu -- everything from appetizers to desserts."

The Cinnamon Apple Turnover joins other yummy desserts including:

-- Triple Chocolate Meltdown® - A moist chocolate cake topped with both dark and white chocolate, featuring a fudge filled center, served with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge.

-- Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae - A huge, warm chocolate chunk cookie topped with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, OREO® cookie crumbs and whipped cream.

-- Maple Butter Blondie - Baked with nuts, topped with both ice cream and chopped walnuts and service sizzling tableside, where it's covered with a rich maple butter sauce.

-- Dessert Shooters - Mini desserts served in shot glasses featuring classic tastes, including Chocolate Mousse, Hot Fudge Sundae and Strawberry Cheesecake.

The Cinnamon Apple Turnover is available for a limited time at participating restaurants.
