Canned Beer Mini Beer Tour encourages guests to Eat. Drink. BE(ER) Yourself!
Old Chicago – a division of CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries, Inc. and the made-from-scratch American fare and beer authority known for its World Beer Tour ™ and 110 unique, cold beers – launched its brand new Canned Beer Mini Tour today, Wednesday, Aug. 3, letting guests crack open a cold one this summer. The Canned Beer Mini Tour – a new Old Chicago Mini Tour suggested by Facebook fans – will run through Aug. 21 and feature eight canned beers that are perfect for cooling down this summer.
Old Chicago’s Canned Beer Mini Tour celebrations begin on Wednesday, Aug. 3, at 6 p.m. with kick-off parties featuring Foster’s at each of the restaurant chain’s 97 locations nationwide. In addition to Foster’s, each Old Chicago location will feature cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon and Heineken as well as four regional canned craft beers that vary by location as part of the Tour. Empty cans will also be recycled by Old Chicago restaurants through local recycling centers.
“Old Chicago asked our loyal guests and World Beer Tour members what they wanted in a summer Mini Tour, and we were overwhelmed with requests for a Canned Beer Mini Tour,” said Mark Newman, director of beverage for Old Chicago. “Our Canned Beer Mini Tour features a variety of canned beer classics, and we’re giving guests the opportunity to try old school favorites, as well as exciting new craft beers that are now available in cans.”
Old Chicago’s World Beer Tour members who complete the Canned Beer Mini Tour by sampling all eight beers will receive the highly coveted Mini Tour T-shirt with a specially designed canned beer graphic. Anyone 21 and older can sign up to become a World Beer Tour member at Old Chicago for free and register online for members-only benefits. Old Chicago encourages guests to drink responsibly.
