    MIGHTY TACO of East Amherst, NY (founded 1973) has increased by 1 unit, from 16 to 17 (6% growth).  These are fast casual Mexican restaurants with seating for around 70.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $3-$8.  All locations are in NY.

    Manasquan, NJ-based JERSEY MIKE'S GIANT SUBS (founded 1956) has increased by 19 units, from 423 to 442 (4% growth) and entered into WI.  The restaurants are quick serve, with a $3-$8 per person check average.  Seating is for about 20.  Catering and online ordering are available.  Units are franchised and located in AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI, and WV.  We wrote about this concept on 5/26/09 (3% growth), 1/26/10 (3% growth) and on 6/8/10 (3% growth).

    SAM & LOUIE'S NY PIZZA of Omaha, NE (founded 1994) has increased by 1 unit, from 16 to 17 (6% growth).  These are family/casual restaurants with seating for around 125.  Beer and wine are served.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Check average is around $6-$15+ per person.  Catering is available.  Locations are in IA and NE.  We last reported on this concept on 5/4/10 (7% growth).

    BANDANA'S BAR-B-Q headquartered in Chesterfield, MO (founded 1996) has increased by 1 unit, from 30 to 31 (3% growth).  These are family/casual BBQ restaurants with seating for around 150.  Beer and wine are served.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $8-$20.  Catering is available.  Locations are more than 20% franchised and are in IA, IL and MO.  We reported on this concept on 11/17/09 (7% growth).

    STRAITS RESTAURANTS headquartered in San Mateo, CA (founded 1987) has increased by 1 unit for Sino, from 1 to 2 (100% concept growth).  These are upscale Asian restaurants with full bar and seating for around 200.  Per person check average is around $15-$30+.  Catering and banquets are offered.  There is a second concept called Straits (5 units).  Overall company growth is from 6 to 7 (17% growth).  Locations are in CA, GA and TX.  We wrote about this company on 11/17/09 (20% company growth).

    Charlotte, NC-based BOJANGLES' FAMOUS CHICKEN & BISCUITS (founded 1977) has increased by 11 units, from 467 to 478 (2% growth).  This is a quick serve concept, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $3-$8 per person check average.  Units seat about 50.  Units are franchised and trade in AL, FL, GA, MD, NC, PA, SC, TN, VA, and Honduras.  We wrote about this company on 9/29/09 (3% growth) and on 6/8/10 (2% growth).
