Burger lovers in the Cypress district of Houston will be treated to a new dining destination when Smashburger, a fast-casual restaurant, opens its ninth Houston-area location on Wednesday, September 22, 2010.
The restaurant will open at 14201 Cypress Rosehill and continue Smashburger’s mission to become the Houston-area’s favorite place for burgers.
Houston Smashburgers feature the Texas Smashburger, a one-third or one-half pound Smashburger made with American cheese, lettuce, mustard, onion, tomato, pickle and served on an egg bun.
Named for the cooking method used to create the perfect burger, Smashburgers are a one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent—fresh, not frozen, Certified Angus Beef smashed on a flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the “better burger” experience, Smashburgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of flavorful cheeses, the freshest produce and top-quality condiments.
Although Smashburger is known for its savory burgers, the restaurant has expanded its menu to offer even more savory options for guests to choose from, including new crispy or grilled Smashchicken sandwiches and Smashsalads. A variety of Smashdogs and delicious sides like veggie frites, fried pickles and rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries are also available to choose from. Burger lovers can pair their meals with beer and wine, Häagen-Dazs shakes, self-serve fountain drink floats or root-beer floats.
“It’s an exciting time for Smashburger in Houston with our ninth store opening,” says Smashburger Founder Tom Ryan. “We’re thrilled to bring Smashburger’s ‘better burger’ to Cypress’s growing dining scene.”
