And the Race is On To See Who is Going to Be the Amateur Master Chef

...It would seem according to the latest episode aired August 18^th that three of the fourteen contestants were sent packing. 

The first phase of the three part challenge took place where the fourteen original contestants were split into two teams. The task at hand was to prepare a meal at Camp Pendleton for a gathering of hundreds hungry marines. 

It has been reported that judge Gordon Ramsay then sent one of the contestants from the losing team on his way. Just when the rest of the contestants were drawing a sigh of relief Ramsay went on to say that they were not finished and then two more of the contestants were eliminated. This came as a total shocker to everyone. What was even more bewildering was that Gordon Ramsay had a great deal of praise to lavish out to the eliminated contestants. 

It is great to see competitions such as this as it certainly does show the lighter side of the Restaurant industry as a whole. In an economy as tight as this it gives every one a boost of enthusiasm and a renewed interest in food in general. 

Any good news about the food industry whether directly or indirectly involving the Restaurant industry is good news to every restaurant owner who is feeling the pinch of the tight economy right now.
