  • Restaurant News Resource Andrea Curto-Randazzo, one of the contestants on ‘Top Chef’ DC on Bravo, has opened up a new Miami Beach restaurant with her husband.

But Mum’s The Word For Any Season Secrets & Spoliers

‘Top Chef D.C.’’s curly-coiffed competitor Andrea Curto-Randazzo has just opened up a new Miami Beach eatery with her husband Frank. Called The Water Club, the restaurant is a 500 seat eatery located in the North Miami Beach space that formerly housed Shooter’s Waterfront Bar and Restaurant at the Intracoastal Mall. Featuring over 150 selections of wine and other alcoholic beverages, the husband and wife pair is featured as the co-executive chefs on the venture. Frank Randazzo, incidentally, is the former executive chef of the popular Miami Beach eatery, Talula.

The restaurant space occupies over 27,000 square feet and a spectacular view of the Intracoastal Waterway, plus a 500 foot dock, where boats can drop anchor and catch a bite. Adding to the space’s panache is a full deck for diners, a full bar and even a pool. The pool will still host the popular “Soak Pool Party” featuring DJ Ivano Bellini every Sunday. There’s also a wine room that’s fully stocked and shelved in wood, which can be rented out for private parties.

Featuring many of the ocean’s culinary delights, the menu should not disappoint seafood lovers and culinary geeks alike. From clam and oyster platters served with condiments like watermelon-blackened corn salsa to a so-called ‘hangover burger’ served up with a sunny side egg on top of the patty, the prices are extremely reasonable. For example, a slice of the key lime pie, a Miami beach staple, costs a mere $6.95; while the aforementioned oysters cost $11.95. A salty seared sustainable salmon filet will fetch $17.95 and it’s served along with a warm potato and fennel salad. And, for those who enjoy a little turf next to their surf, a 16-oz crispy skirt steak is listed for $18.95. There’s even a delectable doughnut and espresso dipping cream dessert on the menu for $6.95.

Unfortunately, while speaking to the media about her new restaurant venture, Chef Curto-Randazzo was inevitably asked about her status on ‘Top Chef D.C.’, currently airing on the Bravo TV network. What of the fate of herself and her competitors? What gossip could she possible dish up on standouts like Kenny, or Angelo, or even judges Tom Coliccio and Padma Lashmi?

“Wish I could!” Curto-Randazzo quipped to the Palm Beach Post.

As the network so cleverly puts it, we’ll all just have to “watch what happens.”
