    WINTZELL'S OYSTER HOUSE based in Mobile, AL (founded 1938) has increased by 1 unit, from 11 to 12 (9% growth) and expanded into FL.  These are family/casual seafood restaurants with full bar and seating for around 150.  Lunch and dinner are served.  The check average is around $8-$20 per person.  Catering and banquets are available.  Locations are in AL, FL and MS.  We reported on this concept on 1/26/10 when they had 38% growth.

    Mississauga, ON-based EXTREME BRANDZ (founded 1997) has increased by 6 units for Extreme Pita, from 192 to 198 (3% concept growth) and by 4 units for Mucho Burrito, from 24 to 28 (17% concept growth).  Overall company increase is from 216 to 226 (5% company growth).  The company has expanded into FL and MI.  These are fast casual restaurant concepts, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person price range is $4-$10.  Catering, delivery and online ordering are available.  All units are franchised.  Trading areas are AB, AZ, BC, CA, FL, LA, MA, MB, MI, MN, NB, NC, ND, NL, NS, ON, PQ, SD, SK, TX, and WA.  We featured this company on 11/10/09 (6% growth) and on 3/16/10 (2% growth).

    FREDDY'S FROZEN CUSTARD of Wichita, KS has increased by 5 units, from 35 to 40 (14% growth).  These are quick serve burger/custard restaurants with seating for around 60.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Check average is around $3-$8.  There is a 2nd company concept called Timberline Steakhouse (3).  Overall company increase is from 38 to 43 (13% growth).  Drive thru, patio and banquets are offered.  Locations are more than 80% franchised and are in AZ, CO, KS, MO, OK and TX.  We last reported on this concept on 9/8/09 (19% growth).
