The Jack in the Box Foundation held its 20th charity golf tournament on May 7 and raised $350,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS), its primary charitable partner since 1998.
More than 350 Jack in the Box® franchisees, employees and vendors attended the tournament at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort in Indian Wells, Calif. Proceeds from the event, which included silent and live auctions, support a variety of BBBS’ programs, including military mentoring programs in Jack in the Box restaurant communities. Jack in the Box recently announced a $1 million commitment to help BBBS military mentoring programs.
“In these difficult times we believe it’s more important than ever for us to continue supporting our charitable partners who provide such critical services within our restaurant communities.”
“I want to thank our employees, franchisees and vendors for their tremendous support of this year’s event, which raised the most money for Big Brothers Big Sisters in the 20-year history of our tournament,” said Linda Lang, chairman, CEO and president of Jack in the Box. “In these difficult times we believe it’s more important than ever for us to continue supporting our charitable partners who provide such critical services within our restaurant communities.”
