  • Restaurant News Resource Taylor Mills, owner and operator of Taylor’s Bar & Grill of Cherry Hill located at 2310 W. Marlton Pike has announced a major concept change. Effective April 15, 2010, the new name of his restaurant will be the “TOP DOG.”

It’s all about Cheap Eats and a Rockin’ Good Time!

“Let’s have fun again! See you on the 15th!”

“Our new menu says it all…our featured item will be our 3X Award Winning One-Half Pound “Best of South Jersey” Burger. It will be priced at a remarkable and unheard 99 cents ($1.49 with cheese). Plus the “Hot Chick on a stick” ($2.99); Steak on a Stick ($2.99); Pork on a Stick ($1.99); French Fries (99 cents); Red Hot Dog (99 cents); Shrimp (29 cents each); and Homemade Bratwurst (99 cents). Ice-cold beer starts at two dollars and our mixed drinks are priced starting at $3.75.

“As bad as the economy is, almost everyone is suffering and we’re no different. We’re feeling the recession just like everyone else. With such ridiculously high unemployment, and an economy that isn’t getting any better, I feel I have to do something drastic, bold and very different. It will be Happy Hour every minute, and every hour, and every day that we are open.

“Top Dog is a concept where we are basically giving food away at cost, and that is something totally unique in the restaurant business. We created the tagline “Cheap Eats and a Rockin Good time” to get our point across. We will not sacrifice quality, and I challenge everyone to taste the quality. The delivery system from our OPEN KITCHEN is unique and the customers hopefully will find it refreshing and will return again and again,” Mills said.

Top Dog is an adult place (you must be 21, and no kids are allowed). The music will be Rock & Roll Classics, and a host of local bands are involved. It will be live music four nights a week and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons with a state-of-the-arts sound system so the bands won’t overpower the room.

The mission in these tough times is best described by Top Dog’s General Manager, Bruce Waugh… “This menu and atmosphere is geared so a table could conceivably order one of everything for under $15.00. Imagine an Award Winning Burger for just 99 cents. We’re in a recession and we’re making as bold a move as possible to accommodate our guests.”

Top Dog is multi-leveled with 30 large flat screen digital TVs, and can seat over 300 indoors; 50 at the main bar, and over 200 outdoors.

“If you want to spend $100 for dinner, you are in the wrong place. The Top Dog will be inexpensive, but the Top Dog will be very good. I promise.”

Let’s have fun again! See you on the 15th!…Taylor Mills
