Squeeze In's 'Best Omelettes on the Planet' Challenged to 'Throwdown' With Bobby Flay

107 quadrillion omelette possibilities didn't scare away Food Network's "Throwdown with Bobby Flay" held at the Squeeze In with a historic location in downtown Truckee, Calif. and it's newest location in Reno, Nev. Flay dropped in on Squeeze In owners Gary and Misty Young and Shila and Chad Morris with a surprise all-American omelette "Throwdown," the first of its kind in the region.

Set to air on Food Network March 3, 2010 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, "Throwdown with Bobby Flay" featuring the Squeeze In highlights just why so many people travel hundreds of miles (and cross state lines!) for one of the Youngs' omelettes. Misty took Flay's challenge whipping up the Squeeze In's 300,000th #37 Racy Tracy, the most popular omelette on the Squeeze In menu, packed with avocados and mushrooms sautéed in a white wine sauce and folded in with crisp bacon and Monterey Jack cheese. Flay's creation is top secret until the program airs, but the Squeeze In has created a tribute omelette dubbed the "Spanish Flay" that debuts on the menu March 4.

In "Throwdown," Chef Bobby Flay issues surprise challenges to cooks renowned for a specific dish. While the contestants believe Food Network wants to exhibit their stellar cooking on a special episode, Bobby practices the dish in question and then drops in to issue a culinary throwdown.
