Coby G. Brooks, President and CEO of Hooters of America, Inc., goes undercover in the Feb. 14 episode of the new series "Undercover Boss" (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS. In the show, Mr. Brooks leaves his corner office at the Hooters headquarters in Atlanta and goes to work within the restaurants, incognito, to get a first hand look at the company, working side-by-side with the cooks, Hooters Girls and management.
"In my business life I have been afforded the opportunity to take part in many interesting events," stated Coby Brooks. "My experience with 'Undercover Boss' could quite possibly be the most unique venture yet. When I was in school I started my career working in one of our early Hooters' kitchens and 'Undercover Boss' gave me the opportunity to get back to the front line of the restaurant. It was an educational, enlightening and an emotional trip that reminded me how much I love Hooters and all our people. It will make me a better leader for our company."
"Undercover Boss", which follows high-level chief executives as they slip anonymously into the rank and file of their companies, will debut at a special time following the Super Bowl, Sunday, Feb. 7 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/7:00-8:00 PM, PT, time approximate after Post Game coverage) on the CBS Television Network. The series moves to its regular Sunday (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) time period on Feb. 14. Each week a different executive will leave the comfort of their corner office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their company. While working alongside their employees, they will see the effects their decisions have on others, where the problems lie within their organization and get an up-close look at both the good and the bad while discovering the unsung heroes who make their company run.
Hooters of America, Inc. are the franchisor and operator of over 450 Hooters restaurants in 42 states and 26 foreign countries.

Good Job
I think what you did for your company was outstandind. More companies should do what you didand not sit behind a desk.In the restaurant industry you have to be where the action is and talk to each guest by doing 100% table vists to make sure if their is a problem you can fix it before they walk out he door 2010-02-23 Elizabeth Nolan |

Undercover Boss - Coby - Hooters of America SCAM!
I am a former Hooters employee of 5 years. It has been brought to my attention by some Arlington friends that the whole "Jimbo" scene on CBS's Undercover Boss HOOTERS was 100% scripted by CBS. That it was filmed before the store opened and that he was acting the entire time. They all knew it was Coby, they were compensated to play along. There is no "Undercover" at all in this un-reality show. Word is that Jimbo was one of the best managers that Hooters had in Texas. He was w/ Hooters for over 10 years. 2010-02-19 Michelle Fradkin |

RESPECTING COBY'S UNDERCOVER WORK
I wish more bosses would go under to see what goes on behind the scenes. I was shocked at the rude, crude behavior of Jimbo (what an ass) and the Marine/Hooters Mgr. They were full of something plus themselves. They have the opinion that women were put here to serve them and to be used as sexual toys and that is about it. I think you need to readdress the clothing with the tops being a little more respectful and just put out the same great food and make it more of a family oriented business..where you feel comfortable taking anyone in your family including little children and not feel embarrassed. I would boot those two bosses out the door immediately. They are demeaning and create a stressful environment and word gets out to other women not to work there..do you like working for them?? Then the women don't either . Thanksfor your time to see who helps make your company what it is and it's compassion and connection with the personnel that makes for a happy place to work. 2010-02-16 Penny Ferry |

Coby G. Brooks - 'Undercover Boss'
I watched this show this evening "Undercover Boss" when Coby G. Brooks went under cover to see how he could make improvements to his company and I applaud him for his efforts and for the changes he will make within his company to improve all areas from the front where the public sees to the back area where most of the operation makes it happen. More CEO's and Presidents need to get back in touch with their employees which will only benefit the whole operations - everyone working together... 2010-02-15 Bill Moore |
