International restaurant chain, Johnny Rockets, announced the opening of its newest restaurant in the recently renovated Carson Lanes Bowling Center, in Carson City, NV.
Carson Lanes removed 16 of its 44 bowling lanes, earlier this year, to make way for the new Johnny Rockets franchise, the first ever in Carson City. Guests can now enjoy the all-American look and feel of Johnny Rockets, including authentic decor and classic American food and entertainment.
The new Johnny Rockets employs nearly 40 full-time positions and recently held a Grand Opening celebration that included great-tasting food from a menu of all-American favorites, music and dancing, a classic car show, discounted bowling and a full house throughout the weekend.
"Johnny Rockets has a reputation for good times, great food and family fun that doesn't go out of style. . .which is exactly how we hope guests perceive our new Carson Lanes complex," said Eugene Burger, Johnny Rockets Franchise Partner and owner of Carson Lanes. "As a restaurant that is modern, yet classic, and provides an interactive dining experience, Johnny Rockets complements the lifestyle-based entertainment we offer at Carson Lanes. . .which adds value for our guests and for the community."
Adds Johnny Rockets CEO, Lee Sanders, "Johnny Rockets is focused on aggressive growth of our franchise business, both in the U.S. and abroad. We have a flexible footprint that is ideal for any type of venue - including family fun centers, like Carson Lanes. In fact, we proactively search for franchise partners in destinations that reflect similar lifestyle and entertainment characteristics to our brand."
Carson Lanes and MBI Construction will now focus their attention on the completion of the other Carson Lanes businesses and operations, Wally's Pizza, Genoa Coffee and Candy, Kernels Popcorn, Classic Billiards and Carson Game Room. All of these businesses will open throughout the next few months. The complex's bar will also undergo renovations to include more seating, a new dance floor, new television screens and a new name, The 11th Frame. The Bowling Alley will feature a large day-care center, Pro Shop, and a renovated coffee shop with a new menu and carpeting.
The new Carson City addition is the 277th Johnny Rockets in the U.S., with the fast-growing international chain expecting to add a total of about 40 restaurants in 2009.
