T.G.I. Friday's Restaurants #1 Fan 'Woody' Raises The Bar On Facebook Fan Challenge to One Million

T.G.I. Friday's restaurants today announced that its self-proclaimed #1 fan "Woody", has issued a new challenge to the restaurant chain -- if he can get one million people to become his fan on Facebook (www.facebook.com/fanwoody) prior to September 30, 2009, he wants to give all one million fans a free Jack Daniel's burger or Jack Daniel's chicken sandwich. And T.G.I. Friday's has accepted the challenge.

On Sunday, September 13, Woody successfully reached his initial goal of 500,000 Facebook Fans and each of those fans will receive a coupon via email which is redeemable for a free Jack Daniel's burger or a Jack Daniel's chicken sandwich.

"While we did not underestimate the love our guests have for our famous Jack Daniel's Grill, we may have underestimated Woody," said Andrew Jordan, senior vice president of marketing for T.G.I. Friday's. "This guy loves a party and will stop at nothing to get one million fans. If Woody can get one million Facebook fans by September 30, 2009, T.G.I. Friday's will give Woody and each of his one million fans a free Jack Daniel's burger or Jack Daniel's chicken sandwich." According to Jordan, "Woody has been showing up at a lot of Friday's football watching parties and who knows what else he has up his sleeve. This dude is for real."

Fans for the original challenge, as well as the new one million Fan challenge, must register with an email address in order to receive a coupon.
