New Executive Chef Gives 'Mixx' the Fix at Inlet Tower Hotel in Alaska

The Inlet Tower Hotel & Suites, a boutique hotel in downtown Anchorage, announces an exciting new dining option for Anchorage travelers and residents. New Executive Chef Matt Little Dog has revamped the menu at on-site restaurant Mixx Grill to feature fresh, locally-sourced favorites at a reasonable price point.

When Chef Little Dog took over the team at Mixx Grill in April of 2009, he had three things in mind: a brand new menu, lower prices and quality and service well beyond the common perception of "hotel food". Now September, those changes are paying off.

The new menu at Mixx Grill accentuates Chef Matt's eclectic, crowd-pleasing style and love of locally-sourced ingredients. Dinnertime favorites include Pepper & Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna and the Grilled Wild Alaskan Salmon Filet. For lunch, the Ginger Soy Grilled Salmon Burger is a knockout dish showing off the Chef's playful side.

Anchorage locals will recognize some of Chef Little Dog's signature flavors. Before moving to Mixx Grill, the Chef headed the kitchens at Anchorage mainstay Simon & Seafort's for nearly a decade. With such an experienced chef, management was delighted to hand the menu responsibilities over:

Chef Little Dog continues to give Mixx the mix-up, introducing happy hour specials and discounts for locals.
