Renews Service Agreements with Dallas Convention Center, the Aloha Stadium's Swap Meet and Marketplace, the Rowland E. Powell Convention Center and the Northern Kentucky Convention Center
Centerplate, the hospitality partner to North America's premier convention centers and entertainment venues, announced today that it has signed long-term contract renewals with four key accounts including the Dallas Convention Center. One of the top ten busiest convention centers in North America, the Dallas Convention Center is a two million square foot plus operation and recently won the 2009 Prime Site Award from Facilities & Destinations. In addition, Centerplate recently introduced a 100 percent biodegradable food service solution, dramatically reducing the environmental impact of the site's menu operations. With the new contracts in place, Centerplate will also continue as the hospitality partner to Aloha Stadium's Swap Meet and Marketplace, the Rowland E. Powell Convention Center and the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.
Centerplate's long-term partnership with the four renewing venues underscores the company's commitment to delivering custom, revenue-enhancing solutions for each of its clients. Through expertise across multiple market categories, Centerplate continues to develop new food, service, technology and efficiency standards that allow the company to help all four venues improve both revenue and overall customer satisfaction.
"We are pleased to announce this latest contract renewal and look forward to providing our partners in Dallas and other cities with the unparalleled service they have come to expect from Centerplate," said Des Hague president and CEO of Centerplate. "One of the keys to our success is providing our clients with an unmatched level of returns through standard-setting guest experiences."
Also this week, Centerplate named George Wooten, previous group vice president for Safeway and chief executive officer for the Safeway Restaurant Group, as executive vice president of operations. Other recent Centerplate accomplishments include Roland E. Powell Convention Center Executive Chef Gary Leach's induction into the prestigious American Academy of Chefs and receiving the 'Best New Idea' award from the Association of Luxury Suite Directors (ALSD) for its suite menu at the Arizona Cardinals' University of Phoenix Stadium.
