International Restaurant Chain Looking to Franchise Corporate-Owned Restaurants
Classic American restaurant chain, Johnny Rockets, is rapidly expanding across the Globe by focusing on domestic and international Franchise sales and support. Today, the Company announced that they are augmenting those efforts by offering about fourteen existing restaurants for franchising, including those in Upstate New York, Indianapolis and the Chicagoland area.
"We are focusing on the growth of our Franchise business and creating programs that will increase value for our Franchise Partners," states Johnny Rockets CEO, Lee Sanders. "To maximize our effectiveness, we are redirecting our capital, human resources and operating expertise from the day-to-day operations of more than forty Corporate-owned restaurants to creating integrated marketing programs and strengthening our infrastructure for existing and future Franchises."
Continued Sanders, "Of course, we understand the necessity for keeping in touch with our guests' needs and maintaining R & D capabilities for new products, promotions and hardware, so we fully intend to maintain ownership of our core restaurants, including the original Melrose location, in Los Angeles."
The Company will market turnkey restaurants with existing facilities, brand recognition and customer bases to entrepreneurs and investors who may not otherwise be able to - or want to - open a restaurant from scratch.
Adds Dave Eberle, Senior Vice President of Franchise Sales for Johnny Rockets, "These established locations represent yet another option for potential Franchisees to own a Johnny Rockets business. They make our simple operating plan even more appealing by providing the infrastructure necessary to own and operate a successful restaurant."
By transitioning these restaurants to Franchised operations, Johnny Rockets hopes to demonstrate its commitments to growing the Company, supporting Franchise operations and maintaining a brand leadership position in the fast casual dining segment.
The chain currently provides restaurant support for more than 235 Franchised units and plans to double that number within the next 3-5 years.
