Merryvale Vineyards Named Winery of the Year by QRW Magazine
Quarterly Review of Wines Magazine has named Merryvale Vineyards as its 'California Winery of the Year' in their summer 2009 Best of the Best issue.
QRW publisher Richard Elia states that 'no winery in the last several Best of the Best blind tastings has achieved more success than Napa Valley's Merryvale Vineyards. They are one of the premier wineries in California. Merryvale offers quality, consistency and price.'
'Being named winery of the year by such a prestigious publication as Quarterly Review of Wines is a tremendous honor,' states Merryvale President René Schlatter. 'We see this as an affirmation of our work in recent years to raise the overall quality of our wines, all while continuing our efforts to 'go green' both in the winery and our vineyards.'
The 'Winery of the Year' honor comes on the heels of a banner year of awards and accolades for Merryvale, including numerous 90+ scores from top wine publications and gold/best of class awards for their Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
