  • McDonalds Southern California McDonald's(R) restaurants unveiled today their new McCafe(R) store locator at www.mcdonaldssocal.com.

The easy-to-use McCafe search feature allows customers to quickly identify which McDonald's restaurants in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties are selling the line of espresso-based drinks. To date, more than 150 Southern California McDonald's restaurants are selling McCafe specialty coffees.

Southern California McDonald's restaurants began rolling out McCafe specialty coffees late last year with more coming on-board each week. The store locator will be continuously updated as McCafe equipped restaurants become available.

McCafe features hot and iced lattes and mochas, and cappuccinos in a variety of flavors: caramel, vanilla, hazelnut and sugar-free vanilla. Beverages are made with either whole or skim milk. Premium Roast drip coffee and hot chocolate are also available. McCafe specialty coffee is available in 12, 16 or 22-ounces. Prices will vary by restaurant.

"By adding our espresso-based McCafe coffees to the menu, we hope to become the ideal beverage destination for our local customers," said Ti Chang, McDonald's owner/operator and president of the McDonald's Operators' Association of Southern California (MOASC). "We encourage consumers to go to our website to locate their nearest McCafe restaurant - then head to McDonald's to try our new specialty drinks."

McCafe specialty coffees start with coffee beans, which are harvested by hand in the warm climates of Central and South America, as well as in the mountainous regions of Indonesia. Only the finest, fully-ripened Arabica beans are used, ensuring great taste. A state-of-the art espresso machine freshly grinds McCafe Specialty Coffee beans before brewing them under pressure, with milk and flavor syrups added.

Americans consume 40 million cups of coffee per day, making the United States the leading consumer of coffee in the world, according to research conducted by the National Coffee Association and the Specialty Coffee Association of America.

MOASC is composed of more than 600 franchised and company-owned restaurants in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura.

Logos, product and company names mentioned are the property of their respective owners.
