  • Darden Restaurants LongHorn Steakhouse today announced that it has completed the remodeling of two of its Atlanta-area locations: 4721 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta and 1375 Riverstone Parkway in Canton.

The Marietta restaurant first opened in 1983 as LongHorn's second-ever location. The interior and exterior of both restaurants have been updated to reflect the brand's evolution over the years.

"Atlanta is the original home of LongHorn Steakhouse," said John Alexander, LongHorn's Regional Vice President for the Atlanta region. "Both of our restaurants in Marietta and Canton have a long history of serving their communities. Marietta opened in 1983 and Canton in 1998. We are proud and excited about the fantastic improvements we've made in these restaurants to represent the LongHorn of today. We opened as a roadhouse with peanuts on the floor, but we have evolved to a warmer, more inviting setting of a western rancher's home. We look forward to providing our legendary steaks and genuine western hospitality to our valued guests in these newly remodeled restaurants."

LongHorn, which was named America's Favorite Steakhouse in 2008 by Restaurants & Institutions annual Consumers' Choice in Chains study, is known for its passion for grilling fresh, tender, juicy steaks including the signature hand-seasoned Flo's Filet and the bone-in Outlaw Ribeye. And there's more on the menu than just great steaks. LongHorn grill masters love to grill fresh, never frozen, fish and chicken in addition to steak. Items such as LongHorn Salmon, a fresh, hand-cut salmon fillet seasoned with a bourbon marinade, fall-off-the-bone tender Baby Back Ribs, and Sierra Chicken, two grilled chicken breasts topped with fresh, tomato-basil salsa, are just some of the other specialties guests will find on the menu.

The restaurants open daily at 11 a.m. for lunch. They're open until 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

More than 25 years after opening its first restaurant in Atlanta, today LongHorn Steakhouse operates more than 300 restaurants in 30 states. LongHorn is a division of Darden Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE:DRI) , the world's largest full-service restaurant operating company.
