Dixie Lee International Industries, Inc. (Pinksheets:DLII), a growing master franchisor with more than 100 restaurants and over 40 years of continuous operations, announced today that it has launched its international expansion campaign.
The Company intends to offer their successful franchises in the US market under the 'Dixie Lee Diner' (TM) banner and offer master franchise developments in Europe, the Middle East and Asian markets, including mainland China. The expansion plans for the 'Dixie Lee Diner' include offering a trademark designed, re-locatable 'Retro' stainless steel diner, with seating to accommodate from 60 to 80+ persons.
High-visibility locations will be targeted in existing shopping centers where the diners will be on the street side of available parking lot 'out parcels'. The unique diners will be the signature brand, with strong customer appeal and a full comfort food menu, including breakfast, lunch, and Blue Plate dinner specials.
The business plan pursuant to the expansion into foreign territories forecasts that with a perceived 'American franchise program,' there will be less resistance in some Middle Eastern and Asian countries than with current 'fast-food' franchise programs. The amount of interest already generated from selected territories in Eastern Europe and several Arabic countries is currently being evaluated by franchise specialists. The Company plans on selling specific territories for a predetermined dollar amount and retained royalties.
'We already have a proven operating system and a solid following in our current markets. We have over 40 years of history, so we're able to provide our franchisees the same level of comprehension and purchasing power as the industry's other major players. What separates us from most franchises is that we operate in a space that has room to grow, yet our franchisees have the opportunity to cash flow in the early years of their business,' stated Joe Murano, Dixie Lee CEO.
