  • Port City Java First Costa Rican Cafe Opens

Wilmington, NC based Port City Java(R) announces its corporate cafes experienced a same unit sales increase of 9.06% for the first 7 months of 2006 over the same period for 2005. The company views same unit sales increase as a key indicator for unit performance. Management feels the increased attention to "core basics": cleanliness, product, service, and guest experience, continues to build sales in the units and enhance The Brand. The company also believes its consistent application of local marketing continues to enhance the sales and guest awareness of The Brand. The company believes the upward sales trend will continue for the remainder of 2006, although fuel prices and consumer economic pressures could retard continued sales growth, if there is no relief from the fuel prices.
