Recent events-both in the political and natural arena-have thrown most prognosticators for a loop. The only thing that is certain in these uncertain times is that you never know what might happen. Still, QSR decided to try our hand at predicting what the most important industry issues in 2006 might be.

The following insights were culled from industry leaders gracious enough to share their wisdom and to grade on a scale of one to ten (ten being most important) ten topics pertinent to the quick-service industry. It is worth pointing out that, by numerical grade, the experts consulted collectively expect 2006 to be a better year (8.4) than what was a very decent 2005 (7.7). Similarly, asked to give a grade the level of 'fun' they are currently having in the industry, the respondents collectively posted a healthy 7.6, although might have been slightly skewed by Dan Fogarty's '11'-quite understandable if you have been following recent news about Chipotle.
