Flanigan's Enterprises, Inc. (Amex: BDL) announced today that Joseph "Big Daddy" Flanigan, the Company's founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer died early this morning of cancer in his home in Sea Ranch Lakes, Florida. |
Joe Flanigan, who was diagnosed with cancer approximately two years ago, was 75 years old. He led the company with pride and determination for over 45 years and was the inspiration behind the "Big Daddy's Liquors" retail liquor stores and "Flanigan's Seafood Bar and Grill" restaurants.
Joe Flanigan lived life to the fullest, treasured his family and friends and was more than just a boss to all of his employees. He was truly our "Big Daddy." He will be missed, but his legacy will live on.
