What's in a name?
He's pretty sure it's not his name on the door that is bringing people into the restaurant. It's been a decade since John Offerdahl suited up as an inside linebacker in the Miami Dolphins defense, and his gridiron feats have begun to fade from memory.
"Every year you're out of the game, people lose it," Offerdahl says as he sits near the door of Offerdahl's Cafe Grill in Weston, keeping one eye on his customers as he passionately discusses the finer points of his business.
Yet the name still resonates with some, as with one man leaving the restaurant with his son. "You're not Offerdahl, are you?" he asks. Offerdahl smiles, extends his hand, and they briefly chat about football, the fan telling him how much he is missed.
