  • Big Boy Restaurants 16 Restaurants to Open Over Eight Years

The momentum of the Big Boy franchise development program continues on the West Coast. Big Boy Restaurants International LLC announces the signing of an area franchise development agreement with Jim Talghani to open 16 Bob's Big Boy restaurants over the next eight years in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and Reno, Nevada. The first two NEW Bob's Big Boy restaurants are scheduled to open in Las Vegas by October 2004, with four more to open within the next three years.

"We're excited about our continued growth on the West Coast which reinforces our belief that there is a universal appeal for Bob's Big Boy," said Tony Michaels, CEO of Big Boy Restaurants International LLC. "Jim Talghani will be a great addition to the Big Boy family and brand."

Big Boy fans in Las Vegas will be able to enjoy all of the favorite time- tested signature items like the world famous Big Boy double-decker hamburger with that great secret sauce, the memorable hot fudge ice cream cake dessert, along with great hand-dipped ice cream milk shakes and malts, banana splits and sundaes -- as well as a new expanded menu offering more variety of foods. In addition, customers will be able to enjoy a glass of wine or beer with their meal.

Big Boy restaurants in Nevada, Arizona and California are identified using the Bob's Big Boy name to recognize the 60-plus year history and origin of Big Boy Restaurants. The chain was founded in 1936 by Bob Wian in Glendale, California.

Headquartered in Warren, Michigan, Big Boy Restaurants International LLC is the exclusive worldwide franchiser of more than 455 Big Boy Restaurants in the United States and Japan.
