Heads in Beds : Hospitality and Tourism Marketing
If you work at a hotel you must read this book
I have bought and read 5 different books on hospitality and marketing in the last 12 months alone. And while most books contain good information, this one truly tells you what you need to know. Reminiscent of Ogilvy and Caples, with a twist for the new millenium, and in the context of hospitality and travel, but avoiding puffery, he makes sure you are using your marketing to produce results and not waste any money. The End of Marketing As We Know It by Sergio Zyman
Remember the New Coke? A disaster, right? Or how about the commercial where Mean Joe Greene meets a little kid holding a bottle of Coke? A masterpiece, right? Wrong, on both counts. Sergio Zyman, who was the chief marketing officer at Coca-Cola, will tell you that while the New Coke nose-dived, it--and the subsequent reintroduction of Coke Classic--helped to reconnect people to the soft drink and revitalize a brand that was losing market share to Pepsi. Brand Leadership: The Next Level of the Brand Revolution
Insightful! Reviewer: Rolf Dobelli from Switzerland David A. Aaker and Erich Joachimsthaler flex their marketing muscles in this exhaustive treatise on global brand creation. But although the authors clearly know an enormous amount about building the perfect branding campaign, their book suffers from a patina of academia that makes it read like a textbook. The book has a multitude of marketing insights to offer and it cites plenty of real-life business examples, so we at getAbstract think you'll gain much by sticking with it if you are in marketing or public relations. But the next time the authors expound on their methods for making products memorable, accessible and likeable, we hope they spare a tender thought for their own worthy book.

Cases in Hospitality Marketing and Management by Robert C. Lewis
The cases in this book focus on strategic hospitality marketing and management. Each case deals with management situations from more than one perspective, and puts forth the premise that every act of hospitality management is also an act of marketing. The new edition includes ten international cases, and a broader scope, extending the book's application to strategic management. Updated and expanded in response to instructor feedback.
